Intro to Python Course with Udutu

The Intro to Python course was designed as an online course with interactive learning module on Udutu, a cloud-based e-Learning platform. The course was created for adult learners who have little or no programming background. The course is taught using a combination of online lectures, outside resources (such as screen-casts or podcasts), discussion forums, and interactive activities. The module is a task module that allows students to complete basic programming at the end of each module to reinforce the content presented in the learning module.

I selected media from a variety of sources. My images, podcasts, and videos are all available for reuse through the creative commons attribution NonCommercial-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported License. I chose images related to the Python programming language and context. The videos offered an in-depth look at Python programming and the videos are also the same videos used to train employees at tech companies how to program with Python. The podcasts were chosen because they were recommended on Python’s website and because they inform students of real-world questions programmers have about the programming language.

The Intro to Python Course meets ISTE Standards Designer (5b, 5c) and Facilitator (6b).
